You asked and we delivered.
An unprecedented school year calls for innovative technology solutions that give teachers the tools they need to do their best work. Paper, email & spreadsheets will no longer be enough.
Our customers continue to rely on Education Modified to house and share essential SPED data, but the New Team Board allows educators to more effectively use the platform as a communication and collaboration hub.
The Team Board is the go-to place for teams to share a range of day-to-day communication from celebrations to concerns, and with new functionality, the revamped tool will work for whatever setting this Fall might bring:
Users can now-
- Filter messages by category, date, and staff member,
- Tag team members in their messages using “@name.”
- Receive notifications of messages they have been tagged in
- Export critical documentation and communication for reporting, parent meetings, or case management reviews.
New changes to the Team Board, include filtering next to the message board, as well as date range input and staff member filters below that, export capabilities and mention capabilities.

Some schools now use EdMod as the sole place to log parent communication–
A teacher can easily navigate to the Team Board and access a Parent Contact log by filtering to view previous posts. That user can then contribute to the log by tagging their post from the given categories.
Some schools now use EdMod as to track critical behavior data–
Before teachers used outdated SIS systems, spreadsheets, or paper tracking systems to document behavior. Now, they can track behavior data, communicate effectively, and access information attached directly to the student, all in one place.
For all of the unknowns that this Fall will bring, our team at EdMod continues to talk to our customers and provide them the solutions they need. We are happy to release these optimizations, in what are being called ‘game-changing’ features, to replace outdated systems, cumbersome spreadsheets and email.
We welcome your feedback and wish you all the best for this Fall.
